SC Global’s long term strategy to expand their regional footprint and participate in the China market is driven by a two tier branding strategy. Under the“Kairong” brand, the group aims to be a leading developer of large scale housing developments, catering to the middle income market in second –tier gateway cities, whilst the group will focus on high end luxury residential in first-tier gateway cities such as Shanghai and Beijing under the SC Global brand.

Although SC Global has yet to go into the luxury market in China, in 2006 SC Global embarked on its maiden project in China under the Kairong brand, with Kairong International Gardens, a 2,000 unit residential-cum-retail project in Shenyang, the capital city of Liaoning province (a joint venture with the Lion Group of Malaysia). Completed in 2013, the development is fully sold and has garnered many accolades for its infrastructure and design and excellence in quality, service and management.
